Dr Niell Boustred, MBBCh, FCS (SA) ORL, FRACS | Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon

Dr Boustred completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Witwatersrand completing a Bachelor of Surgery and a Bachelor of Medicine in December 1983. He went on to do his internship at Baragwanath Hospital (now known as the Chris Hani Hospital) and trained as an Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon becoming a Fellow of the South African College of Surgeons in October 1990. Dr Boustred worked in various hospitals in Johannesburg before emigrating and doing two further years of advanced training within the Australian system, one year of which was spent as a Fellow in Otology with Professor Gibson at Sydney University.
He completed the Australian Fellowship exam and was admitted to the Australian College of Surgeons in January 1997. Dr Boustred has been working in the North Shore area since 1997 at Hornsby Hospital and the Sydney Adventist Hospital. He also holds a position at Concord Hospital and at Macquarie University Hospital. He holds a senior lecture position at Sydney University and Macquarie University.
He is the current Chairman of the New South Wales Advanced Training Programme and is responsible for the administration of the Royal College of Surgeons Training Scheme in New South Wales. He has served as the Departmental Head of Hornsby Hospital and the Sydney Adventist Hospital and has been on the executive of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. Dr Boustred remains closely involved in the teaching of both postgraduates and undergraduates in Australia and in South East Asia. He has a particular interest in paediatric otolaryngology and otology. He is married with three adult children.


Assoc. Prof. Yuresh Naidoo, PhD BE (Hons) MBBS, FRACS (OHNS) | Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon​

Yuresh Naidoo is a Rhinologist and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgeon practicing in Sydney.  He is a graduate of the University of Sydney where he was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship. After completing his specialty training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery in NSW, he undertook a highly prestigious fellowship in Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base surgery.
Yuresh has a particular interest in skull base surgery, recalcitrant rhinosinusitis and frontal sinus surgery. He has published several book chapters and scientific papers in rhinology and skull base surgery, and has PhD in Sinus Surgery. He is a regularly invited speaker at national and international conferences.


 

Dr Samuel McGinness, MBBS, FRACS (ORL-HNS) | Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon​

Dr McGinness completed his undergraduate training at the University of Adelaide. After his internship and residency at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney he was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons ENT Training Scheme and gained his Fellowship after 5 further years of training. He then completed further overseas subspecialty training in the UK at Gloucestershire Royal Hospitals NHS Trust, where he developed further skills in his management of advanced middle ear disease including laser cholesteatoma surgery and minimally invasive (keyhole) surgical techniques under Mr John Hamilton and Mr Matthew Clark.
Dr McGinness is married and has three children. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with the family, cycling, surfing and music.
