Dr Niell Boustred, MBBCh, FCS (SA) ORL, FRACS | Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon

Dr Boustred completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Witwatersrand completing a Bachelor of Surgery and a Bachelor of Medicine in December 1983. He went on to do his internship at Baragwanath Hospital (now known as the Chris Hani Hospital) and trained as an Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon becoming a Fellow of the South African College of Surgeons in October 1990. Dr Boustred worked in various hospitals in Johannesburg before emigrating and doing two further years of advanced training within the Australian system, one year of which was spent as a Fellow in Otology with Professor Gibson at Sydney University.
He completed the Australian Fellowship exam and was admitted to the Australian College of Surgeons in January 1997. Dr Boustred has been working in the North Shore area since 1997 at Hornsby Hospital and the Sydney Adventist Hospital. He also holds a position at Concord Hospital and at Macquarie University Hospital. He holds a senior lecture position at Sydney University and Macquarie University.
He is the current Chairman of the New South Wales Advanced Training Programme and is responsible for the administration of the Royal College of Surgeons Training Scheme in New South Wales. He has served as the Departmental Head of Hornsby Hospital and the Sydney Adventist Hospital and has been on the executive of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. Dr Boustred remains closely involved in the teaching of both postgraduates and undergraduates in Australia and in South East Asia. He has a particular interest in paediatric otolaryngology and otology. He is married with three adult children.


Dr Bill Johnston, MBBS FRACS | Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon​

Dr Bill Johnston has been in private and public ENT practice since 2001.  His rooms are based in Hornsby and he has been a VMO at Hornsby Ku Ring Gai District Hospital during this time.
He has also been a VMO at The Sydney Adventist Hospital and has been Head of Department there for the past four years. Bill commenced his schooling in Melbourne and completed his high school education in Perth where he was School Captain of John 23rd College.
He then moved to NSW and completed his MMBS at the University of New South Wales, graduating in 1991.  He undertook his internship and residency training at Royal North Shore Hospital before completing a two year period as an unaccredited General Surgical Registrar at Gosford Hospital on the Central Coast.
Bill commenced his otolaryngology training at Gosford Hospital in 1997 for 12 months.  He also trained at Sydney Hospital and Concord Repatriation Hospital and was ENT Registrar in 1999 for six months at the Children’s Hospital, Westmead.  His final year of training was completed in the Year 2000 at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.  Bill undertook a local Fellowship in Rhinology under Associate Professor Raymond Sacks and Dr Martin Forer. He entered full time private practice after this Fellowship in 2002.
Bill has a keen interest in general ENT and specific areas of interest include paediatric snoring, airway disturbance and the treatment of paediatric allergic airway disease.  Adult interest areas include snoring, chronic nasal obstruction and nasal allergy treatment. Bill is happily married and lives on the northern beaches with his wife and three teenage sons.  He is a keen sportsman and has a love of surfing, golf, swimming and tennis.  He also has a keen interest in overseas aid work and travels annually to Vanuatu and more recently to Nauru as well.


Assoc. Prof. Yuresh Naidoo, PhD BE (Hons) MBBS, FRACS (OHNS) | Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon​

Yuresh Naidoo is a Rhinologist and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgeon practicing in Sydney.  He is a graduate of the University of Sydney where he was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship. After completing his specialty training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery in NSW, he undertook a highly prestigious fellowship in Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base surgery.
Yuresh has a particular interest in skull base surgery, recalcitrant rhinosinusitis and frontal sinus surgery. He has published several book chapters and scientific papers in rhinology and skull base surgery, and has PhD in Sinus Surgery. He is a regularly invited speaker at national and international conferences.

 


Assoc. Prof. Raewyn Campbell, FRACS BMed(Hons), BAppSc(Physio), Grad Dip (Ex Sport Sc) | Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon

Raewyn is a Rhinologist and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgeon based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital and The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. She also operates at Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAN), North Shore Private, Chatswood Private and Sydney Children’s Hospital.
Raewyn completed fellowships in rhinology and skull base surgery at Auckland City and North Shore Hospitals in Auckland, New Zealand, The Hospital for the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and at Ohio State University Hospital/The James Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Columbus, Ohio.
She has published over 40 journal articles and book chapters and has presented at specialist conferences all over the world and is actively involved in teaching medical students and ear, nose and throat surgical trainees and teaches at rhinology and skull base courses internationally.
